Towel rack for the nursery

When we found out we were having a girl and had the nursery bedding picked out, I pinned a few things on Pinterest for the nursery...one being a towel/jacket rack. Here are the original pins from Etsy: Bird Clothing Rack and Bird Clothing Rack/Peg Rack.

But $49.99 plus $15 shipping seemed a little much for the item. So I decided to recreate it myself. I went to Michael's and found a peg rack for $5 and wooden birds for $0.20 each. My SIL let me borrow some of her wood paint (she's a Kindergarten teacher and uses paint for art activities) and brushes. For less than $6, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out!
